Pinball Badge: privacy

Last updated 2026-10-21. Pinball Badge is a hobby project by one developer (the contact address is at the end). It shows a pinball player's Match Play tournament state on a wearable badge or on the phone.

What the app stores in the cloud

Bluetooth

The app connects to your badge over Bluetooth. During a game, the app and badges send a short code that changes for every game. It lets your opponent's badge or phone notice you nearby. The code doesn't contain your name or account, and the cloud never stores or receives it.

What we don't do

No advertising, no tracking, no analytics, and no selling or sharing of your data. The service runs on Amazon Web Services, which stores the data above for us. Tournament data comes from Match Play Events, which the app only reads.

Deleting your data

In the app, Account → Delete account releases your badges, removes your account data and deletes your sign-in. Signing out removes your sign-in from the phone.
